The Six Kalima

The Six Kalima
Six kalimah are recorded in various books of knowledge, and are recited (and remembered) by Muslims across the globe.
Listen to the Audio of the 6 kalimas.
Before actions, do so in Allah’s Name
Auoothu
Transliteration: A-oothu billahi minash shaytaanir rajeem

Meaning: "I seek protection in Allah  from the Shaytaan, the cursed one."
bismillah

Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Rahim

"In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent the Merciful."

These are a source of purification

First Kalimah - Kalimah Taiyyab

Declaration of Faith

kalima-e-tayyabah

The Second Kalimah - Kalimah Shahaadah

Declaration of submission and evidence

"I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is His Devotee and His Messenger."

The Third Kalimah - Kalimah Tamjeed

Declaration of Allah's Glory

kalima-e-tamjeed
Subhaan-Allahi walhamdu-lillaahi, wa laa ilaa-ha illa-la ill-lal-lahu wallahu Akbar, walaa haula wala quoow-wata illa billa hil-Aliyyil-atheem.

"Glory is for Allah and all Praise is due to Allah. There is none worthy of worship except Allah.  Allah is the greatest. There is no power and no strength except with Allah the Most High, the Great."

The Fourth Kalimah -Kalimah Tauheed

Declaration of the Oneness of Allah

kalima-e-tawhid

"There is none worthy of worship except Allaah, who is alone and has no partner. To Him belongs the Kingdom and for Him is all Praise. He gives life and causes death. In His hands is all good and He has Power over everything."

Fifth Kalima: kalima-e-astaghfar

Word of penitence

kalima-e-astaghfar
Astaghfirullah Rabbi Min Kullay Zambin Aznabtuho Amadan Ao Khat  An Sirran Ao Alaniatan Wa Atoobo ilaihe Minaz Zambil Lazee Aalamo  Wa Minaz Zambil Lazee La Aalamo innaka Anta Allamul Ghuyoobi Wa  Sattaarul Oyobi Wa Ghaffaruz Zunoobi Wala Haola Wala Quwwata illa  billahil AliYil Azeem
I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin I committed knowingly or unknowingly, secretly or openly, and I turn towards Him from the sin that I know and from the sin that I do not know. Certainly You, You (are) the knower of the hidden things and the Concealer (of) the mistakes and the Forgiver (of) the sins. And (there is) no power and no strength except from Allah, the Most High, the Most Great

The Sixth Kalimah -Kalimah radd-i-Kufr

Rejection of atheism and disbelief

kalima-e-rud-e-kuffer
Allahumma inni a uthu bika min an ushrika bika shayan wa ana a'lamu bihi, wa astagh fieroe ka limaa laa a'lamu bihi, toeb-tu anhu wa tabarr-ra' tu minal kufri wash-shirki wal kithbi wal-ma 'aasi kullihaa aslamtu wa aamantu wa a-quoo-lu laa-ilaa-hah il-lal-lahu Muhammadur Rasool-lool-lah

"O Allah! I seek protection in You, that I do not join any partner with You knowingly. I need Your forgiveness from that which I do not know. I repent from its ignorance. I free myself from disbelief and from joining partners with You and from lies and from all sins. I submit to your will, and I believe and declare; There is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is the Messenger of Allah."
